10 April - Visit the city of Bhaktapur staying in an historical guesthouse. Guided walking tours of the city.
We then head out to the countryside to stay at NamoBuddha Resort - an organic farm and enjoying our own cottage on the property.
Visit the famous NamoBuddha Monastery and join the puja (monks prayers). A guided walk around the complex and through the forest of prayer flags. Delicious organic meals.
With private transportation we enjoy an exploration of the village of Panauti with beautifully carved ornate temples which completes our time as we head back to Kathmandu for our hotel.
16 April - Today those that were on the Bhaktapur excursion will enjoy a day to take in the bustling area of Thamel, while our other guests arrive and check in.
Our time in Nepal continues with sightseeing of the famous UNESCO HERITAGE SITES of Swayambhunath (monkey temple), Pashupatinath (the sacred burial and ghats for Hindus), the city of Arts Patan Durbar Square and possibly Boudhanath the 2000 year old Stupa of the Buddhist faith.
Our Trek to Langtang Valley takes us into the forests and mountains for 8 days. This serene valley winds its way through villages of Tamang culture up to the furtherest point of Kyanjin Gompa - 400 year old Monastery and below the foot of Tserko Ri and Kyanjin Ri - a possibility to climb one of these peaks - weather dependant.
After returning safely from Langtang valley we will fly to Pokhara - the beautiful and relaxed city by the lake. Here we can kayak or take a walk through the jungle to the Shanti Stupa or Giant Shiva both standing a watchful guard over this special lakeside area. After a few days here we'll head to our yoga retreat to immerse ourselves in yoga, Himalayan Bowl Sound Healing sessions, massage, swimming, mud bath and sauna or cold plunges. Delicious Ayurvedic prepared meals and luxurious accommodation - a veritable paradise not to be missed.
Upon reaching back to Kathmandu by return flight our final night will be spent last minute shopping, packing and of course a lovely dinner together to celebrate new friends made and wonderful experiences shared.
We say farewell and look forward to hearing how the affects of Nepal stay with you long after your return back home and how changes have occurred within you without you even realizing.
Namaste!
