Tibet is for the adventurer, the person of acceptance and flexibility.  It's spirituality far exceeds any preconceived ideas you may have had and leaves in you in a complete state of wonder, awe and intrigue.

OVERLAND FROM NEPAL TO LHASA - 8-11 DAYS or FLY TO LHASA AND RETURN OVERLAND(No Yoga On This Tour)

Depending on how much time you have available you can do this overland in either direction, fly into Lhasa and start your trip here or start in Kathmandu and proceed overland through to Lhasa and fly back to Kathmandu.  I prefer the overland from Kathmandu and fly back from Lhasa.

Tibet offers a very different landscape to Nepal.  Architecture of homes and a spectacular insight into the life and culture of the Tibetan people is experienced throughout this journey.  The Potala Palace,  Jokhang Temple and the Bhakor are thriving with pilgrims.  The lighting of butter lamps and the twirling of prayer wheels all the while a constant mumble of chanting  is like nothing else on earth.   Finding yourself caught up in the many numbers of Tibetans daily ritual is an experience I cannot articulate.

Visiting  ancient monasteries some of which housed up to 10,000 monks at one time, are still filled with incredible statues and multitudes of rooms filled with exquisite artifacts surrounded by robed monks and pilgrims chanting and prostrating themselves - a feat not to be taken lightly.

Visiting Mt Qomolangma (Everest) and a  stop at the highest monastery in the world Rongbuk.  The Turquoise Lake - Yamdrok is a most beautiful sight and don't miss the debating monks at Sera monastery, quite a sight to behold, different monasteries each have their own appeal uniqueness and the history here in Tibet is both beautiful and sorrowful.  (Mt Qomolangma is currently closed to foreigners as of February 2019 - stay in touch with us to find out whats happening)

The people I can tell you, were fascinating, friendly and hospitable.  "Smile and the world smiles with you" could not ring more true.
